More About Our Goat and Pricing
100% GRASS-FED GOAT is available throughout the year. The price for goat is $6.50 per pound based on hanging weight—the step just before the meat is divided into the familiar retail cuts you cook with. The hanging weight can range anywhere from 30 to 60 pounds, bringing the total to $195-$390 for a whole goat or $97-$195 for a half. You select the size of goat you desire. Please contact us to discuss availability.
If you are new to goat cuisine, you might like to know that unlike lamb, goat stew meat is traditionally left on the bone. Your goat stews, jerks and curries will have a rustic appearance, and you will be amazed by the body and flavor the bones contribute to your meal. If you prefer not to have bones on your stew meat, by all means, it's your meat and your choice. Just let us know when filling out your cut sheet!
